Treasurers report balance $7,440.29.

Discussion was held on schedule that Midwest Printing has printed on bookmarks and are available to the public. All agreed they were a good idea and would give people an idea of what will be going on.

Billi Jo had done posters for the Rhubarb contest and they will be put up around town.

Discussion on food vendors and Larry will talk to Julie to see what she is planning as far as feeding the people before we proceed with lining up vendors or seeing if there are any organizations interested in providing food.

Larry had talked to Bob Keller regarding fireworks and told him we would donate $2,000.00 towards the display. He said he is going to contact a fellow from Minneapolis to see if he would be able to come as he also does a light show.

Billi Jo has the Cookbook ready to go to printer. She thinks the cost will be somewhere between $5.00 to $7.00 for printing and we will sell for $10.00. It was agreed to continue to sell the calendars for $10.00 until after the celebration and if any left we will sell for $5.00.

Connie reported she had visited with Larry Wanberg and he will be doing the movie on Friday at the Kick Off Ceremony and there will be no charge. He will be here the end of June to update movie and assist with anything needed.

Discussion on advertising events in the paper and costs. The Senior Citizen King and Queen contest will be in the June 3rd edition only. So far we have 3 Queen candidates and one King nominated. The grant funds for advertising were not available as yet. The rhubarb contest will be in the next four editions of the press.

Estimated expenses that we are going to have to cover were discussed and at this time they totaled about $7,400.00, however we do still have funds coming from the gun sales and also the sale of calendars and cookbooks. Larry was going to check on the gun funds.

It was decided to have another meeting on Tuesday, May 31st at 7:00 PM at the Press Office.
